About
Threadline is a magazine about the making of clothes.
Founded in 2018, Threadline covers fashion from the inside — the ateliers, the dye houses, the pattern cutters, the runways. We believe a garment is a document: of craft, of culture, of the moment it was made.
Most fashion media begins with the finished look — the photograph, the front row, the review. Threadline starts earlier. We follow the cloth before it is cut, the hands before the camera, and the decisions that turn a sketch into a silhouette. Our writers sit in fitting rooms and factories, mills and dye houses, because that is where the story of a garment actually happens.
Each issue is built around a single current season: four sections — Runway, Cloth, Studio, and Beauty — and a small, deliberate number of long-form stories. No breaking news, no noise. Just the people who make fashion and the things they make.

What we stand for
- Cloth before hype — we write about materials as seriously as collections.
- The people behind the seam — craft deserves a byline.
- Quiet over loud — restraint is a design choice, and a journalistic one.
